Sterling Silver Openwork Lotus Mandala Pendant 37x30mm
This sterling silver openwork lotus mandala pendant is full of meaning. The lotus is born in muck and mire. From sludgy, slimy waters, this brilliant blossom emerges. Many take these humble beginnings as a profound metaphor for life. We can choose to crawl, never lifting our heads up to the light. Or, we can be like the lotus. We can make the best of a lousy situation, rise above, grow, and expand.

In this many petaled flower charm, the lotus becomes a mandala – a visually appealing, symmetrical, geometric form that helps quiet chattering thoughts & nagging anxieties, appeasing the spirit. From its center out to its rim, this lotus mandala’s symmetry and beauty is exquisite. Drop this mandala charm onto a finished chain, and this necklace becomes a great gift for friend who’s going through a difficult transition, like a far away move, loss of a loved one, or a career change.

Length measurement includes the 5mm soldered jump ring.

I attached the image of the product being cast.

I love the designs from Nina, and despite the fact I think this mandala pendant is gorgeous, I am very disappointed. The design is stamped, not handmade (I suppose the price reflects this), but the pendant is very thin. Measuring one of the outer points without the jala beads, the material is less than one millimeter thick. It’s about half the thickness of a dime there.

Yes, this design S7044 is quite light and delicate. Nina’s designed this to have an airy, lightweight lacy look. It is cast and hand finished, and it’s actually a very difficult style to cast due to all of the thin wires and granulation – they took this photo when they were in Bali last year because they were surprised and impressed with the extensive scaffolding of silver sprues needed to be able to successfully cast the delicate lines.
